This international conference organised by PLDA and Places Matter! explores the increasingly important contribution which architectural feature lighting is making to the renewal of our towns and cities. Liverpool provides an outstanding location for the Conference. The city is being transformed by light after dark, demonstrating new confidence in the city and contributing to improvements in the environment and economy. Aimed specifically at architects, engineers, urban designers and planners, the conference takes place in Liverpool as part of the month-long Pool of Light festival. On the occasion of the centenary of Hochschule Wismar, the university will be staging an international Symposium in November 2008. Part of this Symposium are the PLDA Vox Juventa conference and the PLDA Unis.net quiz on 
6. November, 2008.

Universities can register teams of three persons each who will challenge an opposing team from another university to a quiz on light and lighting. The winning team will receive a money prize. A registration form is available here.
